Day 30 - Done and Done
Hard to believe 30 days have already passed! I'll be boarding a plane back to CA tonight, which is where I started this whole 30 day adventure. My results? I feel great. Down five or so pounds, re-focused, and guess what - it was just the kickstart I needed to go ahead and sign up for my next marathon - I'm two weeks into training as of today!
Most of all, it's nice to hold yourself accountable - either by writing things down, or just making a conscious note of what you are doing each day.
Time for some wine in the Santa Barbara region - cheers!
Workout
15 Mi Run @ 7:40 pace
Breakfast
Better Breakfast Sandwich
Lunch
Cuban Sandwich
Dinner
TBD
Beers/Wine
Many, many, many . . .
Off for an early weekend - cheers!

Breakfast
Bacon + Egg White + Cheese on Whole Wheat with Mustard

Off to Buffalo, NYC - yes, I will be allowing myself to drink cold beer and eat hot wings - it's training season!
Enjoy the weekend!

Day 22
A regular day here. I'll be mixing some more whole grain carbs into my meal plan as I up my running mileage. Tomorrow is my first long run of the 12 week program, which starts me at doing a 1/2 marathon. I'll be getting up early to escape the heat and spend a little time clicking off the miles before a busy Friday.
By tomorrow night, wheels will be up and I'll be off to Buffalo NYC - taking in another Nor'Easter.
Life is good.

Blueberry Greek Yogurt
Lunch
Grilled Chicken
Black Beans
Corn Salsa

Lettuce Salad
Dinner
Leftover Chicken Stir fry + Brown Rice

Day 21
Well, I finally caved. I signed up for the Huntsville Marathon 12/8. All of this 'prep' training in the 30 for 30 challenge has gotten me re-focused and in good enough shape to go straight into 12 weeks of brutal training for my next run. So - here's to eating whatever the hell I feel like and running it all off! Haha. Kidding, sort of. I'm going to stay focused and close out the fall with a great season of marathoning.

Day 15
Sick as a dog. You know that feeling when you wake up, and you know it's gonna happen. You just shower, get dressed, cart yourself off to work, only to find yourself kneeling over a toilet an hour later? That was my day yesterday. Not fun.
Drowned my sorrows in Gatorades, Egg Drop Soup, and plenty of re-runs.
That's all for day 15.
